I called this flowershop and placed an order and specifically asked the sales associate several times if my flowers could be delievered that day and he reassured me they would be delivered by 5pm that day. Approximately two hours later (after most flowers shops were all ready closed for the day) I was called by the shop and told my delivery could not be made that day. They also continued to tell me that the flowers I requested which I had previously been told would be available were now not an option. Then my husband called to speak with someone about the situation and he was told that it was "his wife's word against the word of whoever took the order." Until this comment we had both remained very calm and collected about the situation, however after this my husband let the sales associate know that he was very dissappointed with the service and we called back to speak to the supervisor. I got on the phone with the superviser (female owner of the flower shop) and explained the situation again in a very calm manner then she proceded to tell me that because my husband showed his frustration with the sales associate she was going to "reciprocate the rudeness with me". The owner also told me that the flowers I had orderd were "no substitution" flowers....however, when I placed the order this was never told to me and when I asked if it would be ok to substitute one flower with another the sales associate said this was perfectly fine but I had to pay 4 dollars more apiece for each flower which I substituted...and I agreed. When I explained to her that the sales associate who I placed the order with never told me this was a "no substitution order" she replied..."well mam, my sales associates aren't psychics". She also refused to allow me to completely explain the situation by cutting me off in the middle of a sentence so when I told her this was a very important occasion to me because a very close friend's mother had passed away she answsered..."the situation of the occasion doesn't matter"... this rudeness continued until we canceled our order. When we called back to obtain contact information they would not give us the information and told us not to order there again so we let them know we would be contancting the Better Business Bureau.
