Review 12/31/2008
Being an avid gun collector, shooter, and gunsmith, I have had occasion to deal with several well known, and some lesser known, custom gun shops. One of the lesser known ( because he doesn't advertize) custom rifle gurus is Michael Rescigno of Tactial Operations Inc, in Beverly Hills, California. Mike runs a shop that is litterally second to none and his client list, while closely guarded, can be obtained by providing proper law enforcement or government creditials. You see, Mike is a total perfectionist. If he builds a rifle that will not shoot three (3) shots into one hole, he won't send it out. He is so "Anal" about perfection that even the screw slots on the scope mounts, and stock mounts are all cut so they all face the same direction. I've know Mike for about 3 years now and when I first talked to him about building me a rifle platform, his knowledge, attention to personal detail such as what I would use the rifle would serve, even my physical traits, (height, sleeve length, etc), I knew that he would be the one of several hundred better known builders that spend their money advertizing. Mike puts that advertizing money into the business of building rifles and his advertizement is by word of mouth. He's the only custom gun shop that answers his own phone and he will spend as much time as you need to answer any question(s) you might have about your custom rifle and he guarantees .25moa for a 3 shot group from a cold barrel. That's right; that is just over 1/4 of an inch center to center for 3 shots from a cold barrel. You have to be a "Shooter" to understand that kind of commitment from a rifle builder. There are those business competitors that decry Mike's claim of .25moa and claim that it is impossible to make that guarantee. I've got news. I own one of those impossible rifles. Mike doesn't exagerate. If you ever want to lay down the bucks for a once in a life custom piece of working art. Then give Mike Rescigno a call at Tactial Operations in the People's Republic of California. Oh, and get something soft to put against your ear for your first phone call; it could last quite a while...but it is totally worth it.
