Be careful here. Although the quality of work done is good, they are very pricey. I was quoted a $1000 repair, and when I picked my car up the total was $1774.51. There was obviously a miscommunication on the phone quote, but one thousand sounds different than one thousand seven hundred and seventy four dollars and fifty one cents. All of my communications were with the owner Hakan Wiberg. Previously when I have used this company a rental car was provided with no hassles. When I was dropped off a the rental car location this time, I learned Swedish Pro Tech declined to pay for the rental car. After learning my quote was one thousand dollars, I persuaded Hakan to pay the $27 rental car fee as Swedish Pro Tech has done previously and his competitors do. Hakan shook my hand and told me he would call me with the quote when I left to get the rental car. That call never came. I called after lunch and he said the evaluation was ready and he would call me back in five minutes. About 15 minutes later he called and gave the quote, and said the car should be done today and he would call me before 6 PM. He never called. I called the next morning at 8 AM when they opened and he said it is ready. I immediately rushed to the rental car location to drop off the rental car to avoid a second charged rental day as I picked up the car the previous day at 8:15 AM. I returned the car at 8:12 AM and did not have time to fill up the gas. The rental car company charged me 6.99 a gallon for the 1/4 tank used, but swedish pro tech was only charged for one rental day. I asked Hakan since I avoided the second rental day fee and I spent $1774.51 with his company would he please consider covering the $10 gas charge. He said that I was asking too much and he may be losing a customer (he is) and he hung up on me. Bottom line, when a considerable amount of money is paid for services, a consumer at least deserves an update phone call, especially when rental fees are pending. Hand shakes are nice, but it take a little more than that to keep a customer.
