I had been looking for a specific garage door opening product for some time. My research lead me to contact Maximum Shutters Systems Inc as they seem to have what I needed, and boy was that a mistake!
On August 22nd 2015 I contacted Ryan Kuechenberg the owner, via email with a general description of the product I needed. Mr. Kuechenberg promptly responded the same day stating that yes, they had the exact product I required. I was very encouraged as I had had a hard time finding a US provider for this product. Every provider I found was from the UK. I responded with a detailed and specific email describing what I needed. I wanted to install Custom Roll Up Insulated Garage Doors in place of my regular over head garage doors. I sent Mr. Kuechenberg detailed measurements and descriptions of what I wanted as to leave no room for misinterpretation. My description also included very clearly that I intended to use this product as garage doors. Such level of detail was required for such a custom made product that must match the Garage Door openings exactly. I made it very clear in my email what I wanted the product for.
Mr. Kuechenberg replied to my email 6 days later with a quote. His quote however, seemed to describe a different product, so I replied and requested clarification on several discrepancy points. This is when things started to go bad. Mr. Kuechenberg went MIA. I called him and left VMs. Send emails and even texts but nothing. It was not until over a month later on October 5th, that I managed to get him on the phone and reconnect with him again. He finally replied to me email clarifying the discrepancy points I had mentioned before. He also sent me a new quote correcting several items from the prior quote. This latest quote seemed to describe exactly the product I needed, so in spite of the delayed response time, I was pleased as it looked like I would not have to import the doors from the UK.
The quote however did not include the costs of permits and installation of the Roll Up Insulated Garage Doors, so I requested this from him. Then Mr. Kuechenberg went MIA yet again, and this time for almost 5 months! Countless phone calls, several emails and even texts from me during that time yielded nothing. Finally I was able to get him on the phone late December 2015. He did not even remember who I was! I refreshed his memory and was finally able to make an appointment for him to come out and look at my house to assess the job. On the appointment day he texted me saying he was headed to my property. He told me not to worry if I was not there since he could take measurements from the outside. I was not there, so I texted him later to ask if every thing went well and Mr. Kuechenberg goes MIA again, this time for another month. After trying to get a hold of him again and again for another month, I am able to get him on the phone on January 25th 2016. He told me he did go out and measure the job, and promises to finally get the installation costs added to the quote. Two days go by and nothing from Mr. Kuechenberg. So I called him to follow up. He then tells me that his product is not meant for my garage door application and he can not help me. WHAT?????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This took me by complete surprise and I thought he might have had me confused with another customer. After all, he did not remember me once before. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt and yet again refreshed his memory about every thing. But nope, he said he knew who I was and what I needed, and that he could not provide it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!????? I went off in frustration and nearly blew a gasket!!!!!!
After all this time you have kept me chasing your sorry unprofessional arse you tell me NO CAN DO??????? I could have had my garage project completed months ago if this a-hole had told me from the beginning he could not do it!!!!!! Needless to say I highly recommend you RUN THE OTHER WAY if you ever come across Maximum Shutters Systems. I am a real Estate Agent who could have recommended his services to many new home owners. Instead I will tell them for sure DO NOT USE!!!!!!
