I signed up for Experian to run my credit. I was charged 24.95 for them to pull my credit info from the 3 reporting agencies. I was fine with that until I received my credit card statement and low and behold there was another charge for 14.95. I called them and they stated that when I originally signed up for my credit report that I was auto enrolled in their monthly credit check and reporting. I had 7 days to cancel my "membership". They refused to refund the money stating that it was in the terms and conditions of the agreement. I did find the paragraph that stated this, in the middle of about 6 pages worth of terms and cond. What a joke. This fee should have been prominantly displayed. It is nice to know that we have a company like this using shoty business practices. They also own the the website "www.freecreditreport.com". this is the same one that is advertised on tv by those 3 guys singing about their poor credit score. By the way, their free credit report isn't free either but at least it is posted that you will be charged the 14.95 on the home page and not concealed in the terms and conditions.
